Biography:

G.F. Sargent

A professional watercolour painter, from Warwickshire, England. He arrived in Australia in 1854. The Mitchell Library holds several of his pen-and-ink views of Melbourne and Sydney done in the 1850s, some of which were engraved by Greatbach in Scotland.
