Description:

Magnificent c.18th large plan and panorama of present day Istanbul orientated with north to the right in untouched original hand colouring.

The detailed panorama of the city at bottom includes a key of thirty prominent landmarks. The title at top is in German and Latin. Being the great trading city that Istanbul had become the numerous ships are, shown either at anchor or sailing on the Bosphorus plying their trade.
