Spectacular c.18th town plan of Nordlingen one of only three towns in Germany that still have completely intact city walls. An excellent strong impression, with unfaded original hand colouring.

Nordlingen was first mentioned in recorded history in 898. The town was the location of two battles during the Thirty Years’ War, which took place between 1618 and 1648. The tower of Saint George’s Church is a prominent landmark that can be seen in the lower cartouche. The church dates back to the 14th century.
