Detailed early c.19th detailed map of the eastern hemisphere map by Sidney Hall (1788-1831) with Australia shown prior to the era of inland exploration began. Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne which were all recently settled are shown. This map is from the preferred issue of the atlas with without a centre fold.

A London engraver from fl. 1817 to 1831 who worked at first from 18 Strand, and moved to Bury street Bloomsbury in 1819. He engraved general atlases and separate maps for various authors and publishers. Upon his early death - he was only in his 40s - Hall's business was inherited and continued by his wife, Selina Hall.
