Scarce c.19th engraving from the drawing and subsequent lithograph by George French Angas, showing gold seekers at the Ophir goldfields after the discovery gold in 1851.

The slab hut is Solomon Meyer’s Store. Meyer opened first general store on Ophir goldfield in 1851 and established then a general store at Carcoar.
