William Howard Holmes (1825 - 1885)

Qualified teacher with special interest in music, drawing amd painting. Holmes arrived in Lyttelton in February 1851 to take up the position of Assistant Master under the Rev. H. Jacobs at the Collegiate Grammar School. He is best known for skecthes of early Lyttelton.
