Description:

Colonial engraving of the famous tight rope walker Charles Blondin crossing Middle Harbour in 1877.  Blondin  had become very famous after pushing a wheelbarrow containing a small stove made of sheet iron across Niagra Falls which he then proceeded to light a fire and cook an omelet while suspended on the rope, he  the lowered the omelet down to passengers on to the Maid of the Mist who ate it before Blondin continued his crossing.
