Scarce c.19th engraving of the Coonanbara iron paddle steamer, schooner rigged, built by C J Mare & Co, Orchard Yard Blackwall London for ASN Co, Sydney. Designed as a passenger vessel for the Hunter River trade. Had also visited some Queensland ports in her travels. 1874 re-boilered with 4 of such replacing original two and adapted to burn Newcastle coal. Trials then revealed her to be the fastest vessel in the colonies. October 1880 sold to Newcastle Steamship Co Ltd, Newcastle. June 1894 sold to C H Guy, registered Sydney and hulked. Scrapped 1914
