Sydney Prior Hall (1842 - 1922)

Sydney Prior Hall (1842-1922) Painter, draughtsman and illustrator. Born in Newmarket & studied under his father Harry Hall the equestrian artist & at the RA schools. Hall was a popular painter of sport & military subjects. He was a favourite painter of the Royal Family and accompanied Lord Lorne to Canada in 1881.
