Description:

St. Stephen’s Church built by architect Edmund Blacket from 1871-1874 and is representative of the Gothic Revival Architecture style. Situated in the inner west Sydney suburb of Newtown it is located within the grounds of Camperdown cemetery which  was founded in 1848 and was for twenty years the main general cemetery for Sydney. Many people who were important to the early history of colonial Australia are buried there. It is the only one of Sydney’s three main early cemeteries that still exists.
