Very rare engraved view of of the Royal George Reef at the Gulgong diggings. The Royal George Reef was situated 12 km south of Gulgong, a series of parallel quartz veins trending north 20° are localised within slates of the Tinja Formation. The deposit was worked during 1870-1871, and again from 1878-1879, but there has been no recorded production.
