Biography:
Isaac Whitehead (c.1819-1881)
Whitehead was a painter, watercolourist, pastellist, picture-framer and art promoter. He must have come to Victoria with his family in about 1858, according to information given in his death certificate. During his lifetime Whitehead’s paintings were well received by the public as well as by critics.
