Impressive double page scene of the opening of the Sydney International Exhibition, which was held in the Garden Palace in the Botanical Gardens.

As the colony’s first international exhibition, it displayed wonderful advancements in technology, industry and the arts from 34 countries, and despite the costs involved it was deemed a highly successful event.
