Wyndham College North Adelaide S.A.

Superb large lithograph of Wyndham College, on Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide, which was originally named, North Adelaide Grammar School. It was a private school run by John Whinham (3 August 1803 – 13 March 1886) and his family.  It is now the Australian Lutheran College.

This series of views were the first examples of the new printing technique of photo lithography. In this method the plate was photo sensitised and the image was then transferred by photography. The plate then was inked and printed in the traditional way. Rare.
