Large folding map dissected eighteen sheets, issued November 1854, of the Siege of Sevastopol that lasted from September 1854 until September 1855 as part of the Crimean War. The positions of troops and fortifications are coloured. Title label on cover reads ‘Stanford’s New and Authentic Map of Sebastopol And the Surrounding Country’. Original brown cloth covers, publisher’s green printed label to the upper board and marbled paper. In unusually good condition.
