Scarce, c.19th hand coloured engraving of Black Swans at Lake King, Victoria.
Black Swans were first described by de Vlamingh when they discovered Rottenest (Dutch for rat’s nest), now Rottnest Island on 10 January 1697, they explored the Swan River (Zwaanenrivier) almost 20kms upstream.
