Scarce c.19th hand coloured lithographic map of the proposed railway line from Bundaberg to Mount Perry. With the discovery of copper in 1869 at Mount Perry, the township grew rapidly and consequently a railway was required to provide transport to the coast. The first 65 kilometre section from North Bundaberg railway station to Moolboolaman opened on 19th July 1881.
