Superbly embellished with a sumptuous title cartouche comprising two female winged figures holding a crown and twelve crests of the rulers of the ancient states.
Pierre Husson (1678 - 1733)
Husson was a bookseller, publisher and map maker. He was the son of a shoemaker from The Hague, baptised on April 24, 1678. As an apprentice from 1692, he was received as a master in 1702. Around 1717, he took over the fund of Anna Beeck, widow of Barent Beeck. He often published under a pseudonym. Other form of his name; Pieter Husson (1678-1733).
