Edouard Rossset-Granger ( 1853 - 1934)

French genre and portrait painter. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Alexandre Cabanel, Édouard Louis Dubufe and Alexis-Joseph Mazerolle. He painted portraits, landscapes and genre works, and also made illustrations for the press and publishing houses. From 1878, he exhibited mythological and genre works at the Paris Salons and at the Sociéte nationale des beaux-arts, receiving medals in 1889 and 1890. From 1906 to 1909, he worked with Guillaume Dubufe on decorating the town hall in Saint-Mandé.
