Lionel Arthur Lindsay (1874-1961)

Known as a writer & art administrator, he worked for the “Bulletin.” He became well known for his etchings and woodcuts. As a trustee to the NSW Art Gallery he was a major supporter of Dobell over the Joshua Smith controversy. He was knighted in 1941 and is represented in most state collections.
