In this method the plate was photo sensitised and the image was then transferred by photography. The plate then was inked and printed in the traditional way.
Adam Stephan ( - )
Adam Stephan was a lithographer and Samuel Phillip was a photographer who began working on their new process of photo lithography in 1884, and by late 1887 had formed a company in Sydney. A Melbourne company was established in June 1889 and a Brisbane branch was also contemplated in that year.
