Robert Atkinson (1863 - 1896)
Born Leeds, England; studied there under Richard Waller, in Antwerp under Verlat. Went to New Zealand in 1885 for health reasons and settled in Auckland as a professional artist with a studio in Victoria Arcade. In 1885 he moved to Sydney and exhibited at the Art Society of N.S.W. in 1887 and 1888.
