Description:
An early edition of this map identified by the note of Baudin and Flinders on the mainland of the southern coast just above King Island. In later additions this note is moved below Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island and the coast is shown with both explorers discoveries.
Double hemisphere world map showing Australia with the east charted according to Cook, the discovery of Bass Strait and the separation of Van Diemen’s Land to mainland is also shown. On the southern coast is a note referring to the recent expeditions of Baudin and Flinders made in 1802-3 but not showing these discovery. The results of which were not published until 1807 and 1814 respectively.
