Description:
Scarce detailed engraving of Inglewood Town Hall.
The Inglewood Town Hall was built in the late 19th century and stands as a testament to the prosperity brought to the region by the Victorian Gold Rush. It was once a bustling gold-mining town which flourished during the 1850s and 1860s, and the construction of its town hall reflects the civic pride and ambition of the era. The engraving highlights the Italianate architectural style of the building, with its imposing clock tower, arched windows, and decorative façade, all typical of public buildings constructed during Victoria’s gold boom.
