Published by Lucien Vogel & his artists all of whom were trained at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. Using the pochoir technique originally employed for colouring woodblock prints in the C15th. Pochoir used layers of colour to build up the design. As many as thirty stages using gouache paints could be employed in one design.
