Scare, hand coloured, first edition of Colton’s detailed map of Denmark with an inset of, The Nile Delta.

The map is surrounded by Colton’s signature, strap work scrolled border found on all of Colton’s maps. This first edition is identified by the map number ’34’ at top right. As Colton continually updated his atlases, making changes and adding extra maps, the map numbers changed as he issued later editions. Later editions have much higher map numbers for this map.
