Early c.19th map of the world on Mercators Projection, with Australia shown up to and including the discoveries made by Abel Tasman 1642-3 and those of James Cook on his first voyage of the east coast of the continent. The map also includes the results of Cook’s third and final voyage with the Hawaiian Islands and his confirmation that there was no northwest passage. Issued by Johnson and Warner, Philadelphia who published an American version of William Guthrie’s Geography.
