Interesting historical c.19th colour printed lithograph German map illustrating the history of the mapping of Australia through six maps beginning with, Schoner’s 1515 to Steilers’s 1826.

This map reflects the interest created by German colonial expansion in the Pacific beginning with New Guinea in 1884.
