Printmaker, painter and teacher. Trained as a sign writer and initially lived in Western Australia. In  1917 he opened a studio in Melbourne that later became a machine shop. Though prolific as a printmaker and artist he never exhibited publicly. Distinctive fine linear style usually landscapes.
