First edition (1798) of this rare miniature map of Australia by William Faden with the historical Dutch discoveries made on the west coast noted and those of James Cook on the east coast. Tasmania is shown attached to the mainland, predating Bass and Flinders surveys of Bass Strait made in 1798-1799.
