Description:

Charming etching of a rural scene near Tamborine queensland by the Sydney artist, Squire Morgan. Morgan studied with Julian Ashton and under Sydney Long. He was greatly influenced by Long and was to become a good friend and his agent.

Biography:

James Squire Morgan (1886 – 1974)

Sydney artist studied under Ashton & S. Long. Principally an etcher he was president of the Etchers Society. Greatly influenced by Sydney Long in technique and subjects.
