Very interesting map of the Battle of Blenheim with two adhered overlays showing the positions of the troops.

Blenheim was one of the turning points of the War of the Spanish Succession with Bavaria knocked out of the war, and Louis’s hopes for a quick victory caming to an end.

Mapmaker:

Samuel John Neele (1758-1824)

Neele was a London engraver and copperplate printer of book illustrations and maps. Neele signed most of his work using only his surname and business address 352 The Strand, London.
