Map showing the entire railway system of Western Australia, including lines under construction and those proposed. One of the inducements given to Western Australia to federate in 1901, was the promise of a federally funded railway linking the eastern states. It was completed 17 October 1917 and is shown on the map. The ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’ and stock routes are also shown.
