Description:

Rare large scale plan of Perth showing tracks of tramways, trolley buses and ferry services to 1925. In 1897 an agreement was reached to lay 17.25 miles of tramway tracks within the boundaries of Perth. Two years later the Perth Electric Tramways, began tram operations.
Later in 1933 the first trolley buses were introduced to boost the service provided by trams. These were conventional buses that were connected to the electric overhead power and considered a more modern alternative to trams.  The last trolley bus service was retired in 1969.
