Description:

Rare engraving of the wreck of the Netherby, a full-rigged sailing ship of the Black Ball Line that ran aground and sank off the coast of King Island. It was wrecked on the west coast of King Island on 14 July 1866 at 7.30pm in a thick fog. There was no loss of life among the 413 passengers and 38 crew.
